Toronto Hosts First WSOP Circuit Event: Over C$3.9 Million in Prize Pools Expected

Numerous cities have hosted the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Circuit events, and now, it’s excitingly Canada’s opportunity to join this prestigious list. The Great Canadian Resort Toronto is set to host the first WSOP Circuit Toronto festival!

A groundbreaking partnership has been formed between GGPoker, a giant in the online poker world, and The Great Canadian Resort Toronto to launch Toronto’s very first WSOP Circuit event from March 22 – April 1, 2024.

Anticipation builds as the complete lineup remains to be released; however, projections suggest an impressive prize pool of approximately C$3.9 million, including a $2,000 Main Event, a $3,500 High Roller, and eight events awarding WSOPC rings to the winners!

WSOP Circuit Toronto Set to Be “A Huge Success”

The General Manager of the Great Canadian Resort Toronto, Robert Katsavelos, has expressed his excitement for collaboration with GGPoker.

“This is a fitting milestone that will create further momentum for our recently opened 30-table poker room at Great Canadian Toronto, Canada’s newest and largest casino resort.”

“We are excited to welcome tournament participants from across the North American poker community and from right here in the City of Toronto and are certain that this event is going to be a huge success.”

Online Satellites Available for the WSOP Circuit, Toronto

A series of online satellite tournaments have been unveiled, exclusively and only at GGPoker, offering Ontarian and Canadian poker enthusiasts to play for as little as $1!

Not to mention, GGPoker has added even more excitement, as they will be sending some of their ambassadors and sponsored pros to attended the event, including the one and only Daniel Negreanu!

This is the first time in 25 years that Negreanu has competed in a WSOP event in his hometown. I think it’s safe to say he’s excited.
